What youll do

Reporting to the Manager Data Analytics and Decision Intelligence the Data Scientist will:

• Design develop validate and support models and analytics workflows for Thiess data and software products
• Deliver analytics solutions that address complex operational and business challenges
• Undertake ondemand analysis and studies for urgent or critical business needs
• Work closely with data engineers cloud architects developers and product stakeholders to ensure solutions are robust scalable and fitforpurpose
• Contribute to MLOps processes including monitoring model performance retraining and validation

What youll bring

Youll bring a strong technical foundation in data science combined with handson experience delivering analytics and machine learning solutions in a structured collaborative environment. You have a solid understanding of modern data science practices are comfortable working with cloudbased platforms and Agile delivery models and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders to solve complex problems.

• Tertiary qualifications in Data Science Computer Science or a related technical discipline with at least 2 years experience in data science computer science or operations research roles
• Proven experience using data science languages and frameworks such as Python pandas and pySpark and delivering machine learning and/or optimisation models
• Strong understanding of model training testing validation and analytics best practices with exposure to cloudbased analytics solutions
• Working knowledge of Agile delivery version control issue tracking and an understanding of DevOps CI/CD and MLOps practices
• A proactive problemsolver with excellent communication skills who is organised selfmotivated and confident working with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
