Whats the role

As a Platform Engineer Integration you will support and evolve the enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform ensuring secure reliable and highperforming file transfer services across distributed environments. You will design deploy and maintain key platform components such as IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Secure Proxy while managing protocols including SFTP FTPS and HTTPS. The role also involves troubleshooting complex integration connectivity and authentication issues across Linux and Windows systems as well as proactively monitoring performance to resolve incidents and optimise platform stability.

Additionally youll collaborate closely with application network and security teams to deliver seamless integrations and ensure alignment with security and compliance standards. You will support platform upgrades patching and lifecycle activities while driving operational efficiency through automation using scripting such as bash or Python.

You will maintain platform components manage secure transfer protocols troubleshoot environment issues monitor performance support upgrades automate processes and maintain documentation and governance standards.

What do I need

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2BI / Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP firewalls NAT and DNS.
  • Proven experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of security protocols including encryption SSL/TLS SSH and certificate management.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex cross-platform integration and connectivity issues.
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and logging tools for system performance and incident management.
  • Exposure to modern platforms and tools such as Kubernetes/OpenShift cloud environments (AWS) CI/CD pipelines Control-M or programming (Python/Ruby).
