Job Description
$41 / hr
- Prior Service in any Military Occupational Specialty or related to law enforcement
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement
- adult corrections or firefighter field
- Must be over the age of 21
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid CA Drivers License
- Must possess a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security
- OfficerLicense issued by the State of California (Guard Card)
- Must have a current and valid California state drivers license
- Must have successfully completed the PC 832 Arrest training ( a valid certification will be required to present)
- Must have valid Baton permit
- Must have valid OC and Pepper Spray permit
As a Emergency Response Officer at Allied Universal the Emergency Response Officer is responsible for maintaining a high visibility uniformed presence responding to a variety of emergency situations. The Emergency Response Officer will provide assistance during acts of violence crisis and other incidents. Emergency Response Officers will assist by providing first aid conducting evacuation and engaging threatening individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Identify and respond to emergencies including in-progress acts of violence crisis weapons incidents explosive incidents natural disasters and a wide range of issues posing a hazard to lives and/or property using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established protocol.
- Conduct surveillance operations
- Assist in emergencies by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage advise personnel of threats and potential threats summon emergency responders to the incident and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures
- Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and follow established protocol for reporting injuries
- Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive information
- Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment restraint devices and weapons
- Respond to direction and/or orders from supervisory personnel especially in the context of an active shooter assault or other similar situation.
- Move from location to location at appropriate speeds
- Physically engage with a person who is threatening others
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Formal Education Licenses Investigation and Certifications Required:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret SCI with a CI Poly Clearance
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of high-level security experience on Department of Defense site or similar in military
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience as an Emergency Response Officer
- Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Must possess or be able to obtain the ability to accurately handle and shoot a weapon
- The ability to carry or move another individual including one who may be injured
- Must complete a psychological evaluation with a suitable recommendation
- Post offer must achieve each of the following:
- Handgun score of a minimum of 250 or above on the Federal Law Enforcement Training Course (FLETC)
- Qualify with the M4 Carbine 9mm pistol during ERT training
- Complete Law Enforcement Responder (LER) medical training and certification
- Complete the 3-week SPO (Security Protective Officer) academy
- Complete the 4-week *ERT (Emergency Response Team) academy
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
- Various environments such as cold weather rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Climb stairs ramps or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods
- Must be able to pass and maintain a physical fitness requirement of:
- Run 1.5 miles in 13.5 minutes or less
- Complete at least 31 sit-ups in 1 minute
- Complete at least 25 push-ups in 1 minute
- Complete a 50-meter (185 lbs.) dummy drag in 62 seconds or less
- Perform a minimum of 4 pull-ups consecutively
- Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
