Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Management of Industrial deliverables and manufacturing topics at Supplier.
- Manage NPI with local procurement team including validating process flows and FAIs.
- Rack & Cabinet Assembly: Lead the end-to-end integration of electronic modules into racks ensuring optimal cable management EMI/EMC shielding and structural integrity.
- Test Bench Operations: able to operate on test benches to simulate real-world conditions for complex harness systems.
- Thorough understanding of SMT and THT assembly processes.
- Technical Documentation: able to create and / or interpret comprehensive test specifications wiring diagrams for test rigs and detailed assembly work instructions for racks.
- Fault Diagnosis: Perform root-cause analysis on system-level failures within cabinets or during test bench runs implementing immediate corrective actions.
- Mentorship: Guide technicians at supplier in the nuances of cabinet wiring connector termination and safe handling of high-voltage test benches.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Technical Standards: Expert-level knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 for cable harness workmanship and quality is mandatory.
- Familiarity with military and aerospace standards (e.g. MIL-STD-461 SAE-AS50881) is essential.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 for solder workmanship and quality is essential.
- Manufacturing Processes: Proficiency in wire cutting stripping industrial crimping soldering and complex routing.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC requirements for high-frequency or high-voltage harnesses.
- Proven track record in the mechanical and electrical assembly of racks and cabinets including power distribution units (PDUs) thermal management and internal cable routing.
- Experience with rack-mounted instrumentation crimp presses wire stripping machines and automated termination systems.
- Engineering Tools: Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical CATIA V5 (Cabling) or similar tools.
- Documentation: Expertise in authoring Build Plans SOPs Work Instructions and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Testing & Inspection: Extensive experience in electrical continuity insulation resistance and Megger testing.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing and test issues ahead of the impact point.
- Support documenting Lessons Learned during the manufacturing of each system.

Years of experience
- 10 to 12 years of experience
- At least 8 years of exposure in the Industry field (especially in cable harness manufacturing & routing PCBA and Box build).
- Working experience in Defense systems design is a plus.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Electrical (EEE) Electronics (ECE) or Mechanical Engineering.

- IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Mandatory)
- IPC-A-610 (Essential)
