It is responsible for ensuring the health safety and well-being of all North Carolinians providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf blind developmentally disabled and mentally ill and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.

Description of Work

This position serves as a member of a team with shared work responsibilities involving the operational functions of the CDSA. This position supports functions that allow the CDSA to maximize agency revenues maintain staff efficiency and comply with state and federal requirements.

Detailed duties of the position are determined at the agency level including supporting operational functions of the CDSA.

Duties may be adjusted in response to staffing patterns and/or to meet the needs of the agency.

This includes but may not be limited to:

Billing and reimbursement

Data entry and data management

Purchasing

Motor fleet management

Facilities management

Office equipment operation

Communication with internal and external stakeholders

Provide back-up for other support and business office staff

Salary Range: $39244 - $68679

Recruitment Range: $39244 - $44990

Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.

The following Management Preferences are not required but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:

  • Experience in using databases and automated billing software is highly desirable as well as knowledge of third- party billing and experience billing Medicaid and private insurers.

  • Required knowledge of office protocol.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and analyze data for trends and variables.

  • Must be able to analyze and interpret policy and procedural guidelines and to resolve problems and questions.

  • Must have demonstrated skills in organizing workflow and coordinating activities and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.

Position is funded in part through federal funds.

Minimum Education and Experience
