An exciting opportunity is available to join the Stamatakis Group a world-leading translational research program advancing how movement sleep and everyday behaviours shape cardiovascular brain and mental health.
Based at BrainPark this role places you at the heart of innovative research focussed on real-world solutions for preventing and managing chronic disease. Youll work to support internationally recognised researchers contributing across the full research lifecycle from study design and ethics approval through to data analysis manuscript submission and stakeholder engagement.
Why this role is different
As a Research Officer youll play a central hands-on role in projects that integrate wearable technologies digital health platforms and advanced analytics including AI. Youll help a team to translate complex data into meaningful health insights support high-quality publications and grant proposals and ensure smooth day-to-day research operations. Executive support duties will include meeting coordination diary management correspondence travel report preparation and general administrative support
What youll be doing
- Coordinating research projects participant recruitment and data collection
- Managing wearable devices and digital health platforms
- Supporting ethics governance grants and financial administration
- Contributing to manuscripts figures and journal submissions
- Driving continuous improvement and adoption of AI productivity tools by the rest of the research team
- Supporting research students and fostering collaborative research culture
- Executive assistance to Research Directors
- Administration across both research and operational tasks
- Support day to day administration and follow-up actions
- Coordinate travel expenses and purchasing
What were looking for
Youll bring strong organisational administrative and problem-solving skills attention to detail and a genuine interest in lifestyle behavioural or health research. Experience in research administration and/or executive administration data handling or wearable technologies is highly regarded along with curiosity initiative and a collaborative mindset. Youll also bring excellent organisational and communication skills strong calendar and task management abilities the capacity to support academic leaders and flexibility to move between research and executive administration tasks.
