Accounts Payable AnalystBlue Ant Media has an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Analyst with strong attention to detail and good judgment to work within the accounts payable successful candidate will be a person who can organize and accurately complete various assignments in a fast-paced role is well suited for an individual experienced in a general accounting function and/or accounts payable professional ready to support the existing role is a replacement and will report to the Manager Accounts Payable and is a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per anticipated salary range for this role is $60000 - $65000 per year with final compensation determined by experience and Responsibilities & DutiesProcess verify and reconcile invoices to ensure they are accurately reported in NetSuite including use of purchase order functionalityThe Toronto team is responsible for finances in Canada U.K. and AP Analyst will complete the payment process including electronic funds and wire transfers ensuring timely processing with proper supporting documentation and complying with internal control requirementsEnsure all payments are recorded in the system timely and accuratelyCommunicate and respond to vendors concerning payables issues on payment status and disputesReconcile vendor statements and address all past due items as applicableReview and process staff expense reports and perform departments credit card reconciliation ensuring all supporting receipts are attachedAssist in the preparation of monthly bank reconciliationsAssist with training new staff on how to submit invoices and prepare expense reportsHelp manage payables inquiries through Finance Helpdesk System and provide departments effective supports and guidance of the processContribute ongoing payables process improvements and efficiencySet up new vendors and review new vendor requisitions in NetSuiteAssist in forecasting the payments and updating the cash flows file to ensure funding requirements are metPrepare treasury transfers and assist with monthly intercompany reconciliation analysisPerform filing monthly HST returns and withholding tax remittancesAssist in the compilation of working papers for tax complianceEngage in all aspects of month-end quarter-end and year-end closing processes including analyzing and accruing expenses preparing monthly journal entries and performing monthly balance sheet reconciliation for various accountsSupport internal and external audits including preparation of working papersPerform ad hoc projects and/or duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum 3 years of work experience in an accounts payable departmentKnowledge of cloud accounting systems ideally NetSuite and MS Office/SharePointProficient in MS Office particularly Excel and WordStrong attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational skills to be able to handle a large volume of invoices and paymentsStrong time management skills and flexibility to tackle various priorities and meet deadlinesStrong oral and written communication skills with customer-focused mindset dealing with all levels of employees and vendorsStrong appetite for continuous learning in a growing and dynamic environment where ability to adapt and change is a mustAbility to resolve problems and implement solutionsWillingness to work effectively independently and as a strong team player establishing cooperative working relationships
