Kitchen Manager Summer Camp

Are you a leader who is passionate about cooking and wants to make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities Join us this summer at Camp Easterseals Virginia (ESVA) as the Camp Kitchen Manager where youll play an essential role in creating meal plans and preparing delicious nutritious meals that meet the unique needs of our campers and staff!

Your Role in Our Mission

As the Camp Kitchen Manager you will plan prepare and serve meals that are both nutritious and tailored to meet the dietary needs of our campers including accommodating food allergies and preparing pureed meals for those with swallowing difficulties. You will place food orders and create meal plans for up to 80 individuals. You will lead a team to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and all meals are served on time. You will maintain a clean organized kitchen while adhering to health and safety standards.

What Were Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or GED required
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience with meal preparation and food service
• General knowledge of the preparation cooking and serving of food in large quantities especially in an environment that caters to special dietary needs
• The ability to provide supervision and support to kitchen staff
• Physically able to assist with kitchen tasks such as lifting cleaning and food preparation
• A valid drivers license and clean driving record
