East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC) is a missiondriven communityfocused Federally Qualified Health Center providing compassionate highquality care to patients across our four Pittsburgharea locations. We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team and support our dentists in delivering excellent patientcentered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (xrays)
- Sterilize disinfect and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with pre and postoperative instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the dental EHR
- Manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Support inventory management including ordering and stocking supplies
- Demonstrate professionalism compassion and a commitment to ELFHCCs mission
Qualifications
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent onthejob experience
- Current PA Xray Certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
- Preferred:
- 1 year experience as a dental assistant
- Familiarity with community health or FQHC settings
- Bilingual skills are a plus
