About the Role
This is a high-impact role designed for a finance professional who thrives in a scaling international business. With increasing operational complexity the company needs a hands-on expert to take full ownership of day-to-day accounting. This role goes beyond traditional data entry; it is a strategic hire with a clear path to evolve into a Junior Controller or CFO-track position. You will work directly with the founder to ensure financial integrity across an import-driven inventory-heavy operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Bookkeeping: Manage full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks including accurate entry and reconciliation of high-volume multi-SKU vendor bills.
- Inventory & Cost Accounting: Expertly allocate landed costs (ocean freight domestic trucking and import expenses) and perform rigorous monthly inventory reconciliations across shipments and SKUs.
- Invoicing & Receivables: Generate and manage customer invoicing while maintaining clean up-to-date financial records.
- Operational Finance Support: Support the purchase-to-invoice lifecycle and ensure seamless alignment between logistics inventory and accounting departments.
- Light Controlling (Growth Scope): Analyze expected vs. actual costs flag anomalies in freight or inventory and provide actionable insights to the founder to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
Hard Skills
- QuickBooks Mastery: Deep professional experience with QuickBooks is essential.
- Inventory Accounting: Proven track record in inventory-based accounting specifically handling multi-line vendor bills and landed cost/freight allocations.
- Financial Reconciliation: Advanced skills in reconciling complex financial data and identifying variances.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in G-Suite Figma (for reviewing designs/pricing sheets) and AI tools for workflow optimization.
