The Bethany Public School District hasa SY 2026-2027 opening for a Special Education Teacher.
Salary: $52693 to $93466 per Bethany Education Association contract.
Benefits: Comprehensive health and welfare benefits package per Bethany Education Association contract.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Certification in Special Education is required.
- 1 to 3 years of Elementary Special Education teaching experience is preferred.
- Physical Management Training (PMT) certification or willingness to be trained and certified is required.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Experience with developmentally appropriate inquiry-based teaching and learning is preferred.
- Experience with the Data Team Process is preferred.
- Experience with Scientific Research-Based Intervention (SRBI) is preferred.
- Strong organizational recordkeeping interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess good judgment in the supervision of management of and communication with students.
The Bethany Community School is an elementary school (PK to 6) located in central Bethany on an extensive rural campus. The school offers a supportive leadership team and staff andextensiveinstructional resources.
