We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our PullmanWA basedSchweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) Fabrication team. Experiencelevel will determine job title.

Welder Fabricator:In this position you will be responsible for programming setting up and operating CNC and manually operated fabrication equipment to produce and inspect a wide variety of sheet metal and other custom components. Welding is an essential part of this role so we are specifically looking for experienced weldersthat areproficient with MIG and TIG welding processes. Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of welding theory and a basic understanding of welding metallurgy and nondestructive testing processes. Experience with aluminum stainless steel carbon steel and titanium is addition to technical skills set we are looking for someone who models SEL values as outlined in our Principles of Operation. The ideal candidate will be an excellent problem solver self-driven to improve in their craft and willing to learn and teach a broad range of welding and fabrication skills and and swing shift positions are available.

As a Welder Fabricator a typical day might include the following:

• Using manual and CNC fabrication equipment to produce parts of moderate complexity under limited supervision.

• Performing preventive maintenance on shop equipment.

• Creating basic to moderate CNC programs with a CAD/CAM system.

• Providing design feedback and training to engineering and other staff onbasicto moderate design projects.

• Adhering to all shop safety procedures.

This job might be for you if:

• You have two years of trade school or equivalent experience

• You have four years of welder fabricator experience

• You can read and interpret moderate to complex blueprints

• You are versed in welding theory and industry standards

• You can create basic CAD/CAM programs
