What youll do

  • Perform stakeholder discovery and develop production asset requirements

  • Commission new equipment including oversight of acceptance testing at suppliers and on site after installation

  • Creates specifications purchase requests and usage instructions for equipment

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of composite fabrication equipment across multiple equipment types.

  • Validates contractual performance milestones maintains configuration control conducts reviews prepares plans for production readiness preventative maintenance and spares

  • Coordinate all necessary resources to troubleshoot equipment failures to find root cause define and implement the solution.

  • Design execute and analyze experiments to screen and optimize equipment to drive continuous improvement high uptime and process reliability efforts.

  • Lead communications with other equipment maintenance team members and equipment users.

  • Work with outside vendors for specialist advice and arrange for service support where necessary.

  • Manage and steer all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering Production Engineering Manufacturing Quality Engineering and Procurement

  • Travel to suppliers as needed

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Computer Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 3 years working in an engineering manufacturing and/or production environment

  • 3 years of experience with system design & integration operational procedures hazard identification and requirements to prevent or control mishap risk throughout the life of the equipment

  • Experience with machine integration or equipment engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: BS and 5 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 4: BS and 9 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in technical specifications reports and test plans

  • Comfortable reading engineering drawings and using Microsoft Office

  • Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings

  • Strong communication leadership and collaboration abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently

  • Commitment to quality safety and continuous improvement

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) computer science engineering data science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

Level 4

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) computer science engineering data science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
