Sr CAD Technician

STV is seeking a CAD Technician with 5 years of experience to support transportation and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will provide CADD production support for roadway and transit projects working closely with engineers and designers to develop accurate standards-compliant drawings and models.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop update and maintain roadway and transportation design drawings and models using OpenRoads OpenBuildings MicroStation Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

• Produce plans profiles cross-sections and construction documents in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.

• Collaborate with civil engineers and BIM leads to translate engineering concepts into coordinated CAD/BIM deliverables.

• Perform QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy consistency and compliance with state DOT transit agency and federal standards.

• Manage organize and maintain project files using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.

• Support coordination across disciplines and assist with design updates throughout various project phases (concept through construction).

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical certification in CAD Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline.

• 5 years of experience supporting civil or transportation engineering projects.

• Proficiency working within Bentley Open products and AutoCAD-based platforms.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers using CAD and BIM workflows including Revit when required.

• Experience supporting projects for MTA Port Authority NJ Transit and/or NYSDOT.

• Strong ability to interpret engineering plans specifications and design standards.
