Job Summary

In partnership with our client we are seeking a Head of Business Operations to serve as the de facto Managing Director of a fast-growing womens fashion brand based in Lagos Nigeria. This is not a behind-the-scenes role. You will be the strategic and operational engine of the business overseeing everything from day-to-day execution to long-term growth across both local and international markets. Your Responsibilities
Strategy and amp; Business Development
  • You will collaborate with the leadership team to define clear business strategies and objectives that reflect both the brands ambition and its operational realities.
  • You will identify opportunities for growth and innovation in domestic and international markets driving expansion strategies and market entry initiatives that position the brand for long-term success.
  • You will develop and maintain strong relationships with key local and international partners and collaborators ensuring the brands network continues to support its growth.
  • You will monitor global market trends to inform decision-making maintain competitiveness and ensure the brand remains relevant and forward-looking.
Team Management and amp; Culture
  • You will monitor team performance across the organisation providing guidance mentorship and accountability to ensure every function is delivering to its full potential.
  • You will foster a culture of collaboration excellence and accountability that attracts and retains the right people and reflects the brands values.
  • You will refine and enforce policies and procedures that drive efficiency compliance and consistency across all teams and operations.
Operational Leadership
  • You will act as the primary decision-maker for the business balancing short-term operational needs with long-term strategic goals at all times.
  • You will ensure operational alignment across all teams keeping execution tightly connected to organisational objectives market demands and stakeholder expectations.
  • You will lead operational reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives that keep the business sharp efficient and scalable.
  • You will monitor and drive financial performance ensuring the business grows sustainably and operates within sound financial parameters.
  • You will report operational performance clearly and regularly to relevant stakeholders providing the visibility they need to make informed decisions.

To be considered for this role you should have
  • Proven experience with at least 6 years in operations business leadership or management including a minimum of 3 years in a relevant leadership role leading crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong understanding of relevant operating markets both locally in Nigeria and internationally.
  • Excellent decision-making problem-solving and strategic planning skills with a track record of delivering results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams and manage operations across multiple business areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently across all levels of the organisation and with external partners.
  • A genuine passion for the creative and fashion industry with an understanding of what it takes to build and scale a brand in this space.
