About the Company: Our client is a leading securities register and data management provider in the Nigerian Capital Market.
The Company is seeking a Head IT Audit who will be responsible for leading the IT audit function. The role holder will provide independent assurance over the organizations technology environment including IT governance cybersecurity cloud infrastructure digital platforms and third-party systems.
The role plays a critical part in strengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulatory and global audit standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the IT audit function across the organization.
Develop and execute the annual IT audit plan.
Ensure audits are conducted in line with internal audit standards and best practices.
Evaluate IT General Controls (ITGCs) across enterprise systems.
Assess application controls system access management and change management processes.
Review IT governance frameworks and compliance with internal policies and standards.
Assess cybersecurity controls frameworks and risk exposure.
Review incident response mechanisms and security monitoring systems.
Evaluate data protection and information security practices.
Conduct audits of cloud infrastructure and configurations.
Review controls over digital platforms and enterprise applications.
Assess system integration and data flow controls across platforms.
Evaluate controls over outsourced IT services and third-party vendors.
Assess vendor compliance with security and service level agreements.
Ensure effective risk management for external technology providers.
Prepare detailed IT audit reports with findings and recommendations.
Present audit results to senior management and audit committee.
Provide advisory support on IT risk mitigation strategies.
Track remediation of audit findings and corrective actions.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field. Class of degree First Class or Second Class Upper is a must have.
6 years of experience in IT Auditing Information Systems Audit IT Risk Management Cybersecurity Audit or a similar role.
Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or related professional certifications would be an added advantage.
Understanding of the key technology and general controls around enterprise applications and information systems.
Strong experience auditing cloud environments digital platforms cybersecurity and third-party vendors.
Strong knowledge of IT audit frameworks (COBIT ISO 27001 NIST).
Deep understanding of IT General Controls (ITGCs).
Expertise in cybersecurity principles and risk management.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
