Position: Area Sales Manager (ASM) – General Trade (GT)
Location (HQ): Coimbatore – South 2 Zone
Coverage Area:
West Tamil Nadu & South Tamil Nadu
(Coimbatore to Hosur & Coimbatore to Kanniyakumari)
Role Objective:
To drive sales growth distribution expansion and execution excellence across the assigned territory by effectively managing distributors team performance and market operations in the General Trade channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and achieve primary & secondary sales targets as per Annual Business Plan (ABP)
- Manage and develop distributor network (appointment of new distributors & handling existing ones)
- Lead guide and monitor on-roll sales team performance
- Ensure effective market coverage and outlet expansion
- Execute BTL activities and ensure visibility in targeted outlets
- Monitor and improve secondary sales in A outlets
- Maintain distributor inventory as per company norms
- Ensure timely collections and maintain Payment Efficiency Index (PEI)
- Drive execution of schemes and promotional activities in the market
- Maintain profitability by adhering to budgeted gross margins
- Strengthen customer relationships and ensure high retention
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of total sales experience
- Minimum 4 years of managerial experience with on-roll team handling
- Must have strong exposure to General Trade (GT)
- FMCG background is mandatory
- Experience with Tier 1 companies preferred (e.g. ITC Britannia GSK Reckitt Colgate)
- Must have worked in the given geography for at least 3 years
