The expected starting base salary for this position is $86034 $90986 annually depending on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience. Once hired you will progress through a wider salary range over time as you continue to develop job knowledge skills and competencies for the role.

What youll be doing

Reporting to the Chief Officer Communications & People the Change Management Specialist (CMS) is a key member of the internal change team supporting the organizations multiâyear Business Transformation (BT) initiative. The CMS supports the planning delivery and sustainment of change initiatives by providing coordination analysis and delivery support across stakeholder engagement communications training and adoption activities. Working under the guidance of an OCM Lead the role contributes to the successful adoption of organizational process and technology changes.

BCCNM is seeking an experienced change practitioner to join the organization on a temporary basis through December 2028 to support the Business Transformation program. Phase 1 of the program is underway with multiple projects in progress including the implementation of a new CRM system supporting all registration activities scheduled to go live in July 2026. Subsequent phases will launch in 2026 and 2027 transforming both core business operations and support programs.

The Change Management Specialist works closely with internal change team members and external change partners/vendors to develop and execute detailed change plans. The role works across a variety of projects and serves as a primary point of contact for organizational change management making it an ideal opportunity for an emerging change practitioner to build experience supporting a largeâscale transformation through goâlive and user adoption.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Focuses on the human aspect of change using recognised standard change management methods and acts as a focal point for internal teams on strategic projects involving changes within the organization.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of change and training plans including impact assessments audience identification and roleâbased learning requirements; maintains related documentation schedules and trackers aligned to project milestones and readiness objectives.
  • Collects synthesizes and analyzes stakeholder and user feedback to inform readiness training effectiveness communications and adoption risk mitigation.
  • Supports stakeholder engagement and change communications by drafting and coordinating change and training messages and supporting engagement activities such as workshops demos and feedback sessions.
  • Supports readiness adoption and sustainment by tracking training completion and adoption indicators assisting with goâlive and postâimplementation support and contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement.
  • Provides project and delivery support by coordinating meetings tracking actions preparing materials for project teams and leadership updates and supporting alignment across project change and training workstreams.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders collaborates with project teams and builds productive working relationships to support successful delivery across the Business Transformation program.
  • Contributes to the development of programâlevel key messages and presentations in collaboration with Communications team experts.

Your education & skillsâ

  • Bachelors degree in organizational development human resources or related discipline plus 1 to 3 years of change specific experience or an equivalent level of education training and experience.
  • Recognised training and/or certification in change management (PROSCI CCMP CMS etc.) is required. PROSCI certification is an asset.
  • Experience supporting training or learning activities as part of a change or transformation initiative (e.g. system implementations process changes).
  • Experience working in a projectâbased or transformation environment is required.
  • Experience in public sector healthcare or regulated environments is an asset.
  • Previous involvement in transformational projects with significant change management implications
  • Demonstration of the following behaviours/competencies is required:
    • Demonstrated understanding of diversity inclusion and cultural humility as they apply to health care is an asset.
    • Interpersonal skills and ability to build quickly establish trust and rapport with others.
    • Strong communication skills and active listening skills.
    • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload and work under time pressures to meet deadlines.
    • Confidence and ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.
    • Demonstrated flexibility to meet and adapt to changes in organizational priorities.
    • Advanced skills related to the Microsoft Office suite with demonstrated proficiency in Word Excel Powerpoint and experience using collaboration and document management tools (e.g. Teams SharePoint).

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience coordinating large scale training initiatives
  • Facilitation experience with ability to design and implement working sessions to uncover change impacts across multiple partners and competing initiatives
