About the role
Lead and grow a meaningful Biography Service including recruiting training and supporting a dedicated team of volunteers.
Partner closely with palliative care teams to coordinate patient referrals and thoughtfully match volunteers ensuring a compassionate and seamless service.
Oversee the quality and progress of patient biographies ensuring accurate documentation and a high standard of delivery.
Manage service operations including databases reporting monthly meetings newsletters and stakeholder engagement.
Drive service development and continuous improvement collaborating with state and national networks to enhance impact and reach.
About you
Proven experience recruiting training and supporting volunteers with a strong understanding of how to effectively match volunteers to client needs.
Confident working in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment building strong relationships with clinical teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in palliative care and/or supporting individuals experiencing grief and loss with a compassionate and sensitive approach.
Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to manage multiple priorities and maintain quality outcomes.
Strong IT proficiency (Outlook Word Microsoft Teams & Excel) along with a current NSW drivers licence to support service delivery
