Job Summary
QA/QC Officer
Reporting To: Head of QA/QC
Key Responsibilities:
Implement effective QA/QC systems on-site and coordinate inspections across trades.
Ensure all construction activities comply with quality standards and codes.
Maintain proper documentation manage non-conformance reports and implement corrective actions.
Liaise with consultants HSE teams and subcontractors on all quality-related matters.
Participate in site audits and support approval processes for contractor payments.
Requirements
Requirements:
Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related field with at least 3 years site QA/QC experience.
Strong knowledge of quality standards across civil architectural MEP and finishing disciplines.
Required Skills:
Technical Knowledge Good understanding of construction materials methods and measurement techniques ( CESSM etc). Software Proficiency Strong proficiency in MS Excel; experience with other cost management software (e.g. CostX Candy or similar) and AutoCAD is highly desirable. Analytical Skills Strong numerical analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail. Communication Effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders. Organization Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines under pressure. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in quantity surveying Construction Management or a related field. Approximately 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a Quantity Surveying role (within a contractor or consultancy environment). Actively working towards professional accreditation (e.g. GhIS ) is a plus. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driving license. Note: Candidate should preferably reside in Tema Labadi Teshie and Spintex general vicinity.
