Job Summary
The Group Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing consolidated financial reporting across multiple subsidiaries and regions. This role ensures financial accuracy compliance and strategic alignment with organizational objectives. The successful candidate will lead and manage finance teams across different geographies drive operational excellence and provide critical financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for the Group.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards such as IFRS/MFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
- Review financial submissions from subsidiaries to ensure consistency accuracy and completeness.
- Establish and maintain robust group accounting policies and procedures.
2. Regional Financial Oversight
- Supervise finance managers across multiple regions ensuring alignment with group policies and reporting standards.
- Provide guidance and leadership to regional teams to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Standardize financial processes and reporting frameworks across the organization.
3. Strategic Planning Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the Groups annual budgeting forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
4. Compliance Audit & Governance
- Ensure compliance with statutory tax and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and financial procedures.
5. Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support business decisions and operational initiatives.
- Present financial reports and performance insights to executive management and stakeholders.
6. Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems processes and reporting efficiency.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives including automation and ERP enhancements.
- Promote best practices and digitalization within the finance function.
7. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of finance managers and professionals across multiple regions.
- Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous learning.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACCA CPA CA or CIMA is an added advantage.
- Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g. MIA) is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 812 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- Proven experience in group consolidation and managing multiple subsidiaries.
- Prior experience in a group multinational or regional organization is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams across different regions.
- Background in Big 4 audit or multinational corporations is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/MFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent leadership stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting Banking or a related discipline. Minimum 47 years of relevant experience in treasury corporate finance or cash management. Prior experience within manufacturing trading or multi-entity corporate environments will be an advantage. Strong understanding of cash flow management banking facilities and treasury operations. Experience in cash forecasting intercompany funding and banking coordination is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to financial details. Good communication and stakeholder management skills when dealing with banks and internal teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
