We are currently seeking suitably qualified candidates for the position of Basic Grade Dietitian to join a healthcare facility in Tralee Ireland.
This is a fixed-term position (35 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of Nutrition and Dietetic Services across outpatient inpatient and day care settings.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with medical nursing and multidisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate timely and compliant patient records in line with departmental policies and procedures.
- Update and manage daily dietetic statistics and documentation.
- Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings including oncology and discharge planning sessions.
- Liaise with catering staff to ensure appropriate provision of therapeutic and specialised diets.
- Deliver nutrition education and training to hospital staff as required by the Head of Department.
- Contribute to the development implementation and evaluation of policies procedures and service improvements within the Dietetics department.
Requirements
- Registration as a Dietitian with CORU (Dietitians Registration Board) is essential.
- Candidates who are eligible for CORU registration must provide evidence that their application is in progress.
- Proof of statutory registration on the CORU Dietitians Register must be provided prior to the issuance of a contract of employment.
- Demonstrate the requisite knowledge competence and professional ability to effectively carry out the duties of the role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Adaptable motivated and innovative with strong IT and analytical skills.
