We are currently recruiting a MRI Radiographer (CSR or Senior grade)for a Hospital in Cork Ireland.
Full-time and part-time positions available
Key Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of MRI examinations in line with departmental protocols and best practice guidelines
Ensure patient safety comfort and dignity at all times during imaging procedures
Screen patients appropriately for MRI safety (e.g. implants contraindications claustrophobia)
Produce high-quality diagnostic images while optimising scan times and patient throughput
Operate and maintain MRI equipment ensuring correct usage and reporting faults when necessary
Administer contrast agents safely in accordance with protocols and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Work collaboratively with radiologists clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and patient care
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with legal and regulatory requirements
Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and all health & safety standards
Participate in quality assurance programmes and continuous service improvement initiatives
Provide guidance and support to junior staff and students (Senior role expectation)
Contribute to training mentoring and professional development within the team (Senior role expectation)
Stay up to date with advancements in MRI technology and clinical practice
Participate in rostered shifts including weekends and on-call services where required
Requirements
CORU registration (essential)
Relevant experience as an MRI Radiographer
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Strong commitment to quality and patient safety
Dedicated to delivering a consistently high standard of patient care
High level of clinical and technical competence
