SENIOR FINANCE & TAX ACCOUNTANT

Reports to: Finance Manager
Our client is a multinational agribusiness firm renowned for its high-quality and innovative solutions in serving the agricultural and livestock industries across Ghana and beyond.
Your role as a Senior Finance & Tax Accountant:
You will primarily be responsible for ensuring the accurate and complete recording of accounting transactions timely month-end close of the accounting records and preparation of financial reports Budgeting Stock and finance controlling Tax filings audits and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording and posting all transactions (accounts payable receivable and general ledger entries) including VAT and WHT.
- Ensure accurate cost allocation and timely accruals.
- Support month-end closing by ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports and maintain accurate and complete financial records.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register and post depreciation.
- Oversee inventory and stock processes including stock counts and ensure accurate valuation of inventory and livestock.
- Perform foreign exchange (FX) revaluations where necessary.
- Manage data uploads and integration across systems such as Tagetik Tali and Avihance.
- Improve system alignment and ensure data accuracy across platforms.
- Manage statutory and tax audits and ensure timely tax filings and compliance.
- Liaise with tax authorities and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for all financial and corporate records.

Requirements
- A Masters/Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or other relevant fields.
- Professional Accounting qualification (ICAG ACCA or CIMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years work experience in a similar role.
- Experience within manufacturing FMCG agribusiness or trading environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles tax regulations and financial reporting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Must be analytical and detail-oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suites (Excel Word and PowerPoint) and major accounting software (e.g. Sage Tally QuickBooks).
