Job Summary

  • Role Purpose
    Responsible for overseeing the financial management and other related operations of the group; guiding its financial strategy planning control taxation decision making and maintaining its fiscal stability. This role is required to collaborate with the executive leadership team to establish long-range financial goals strategies plan risk management and policies for the group.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management - lead the groups financial operations including accounting budgeting forecasting and auditing. Ensure that financial transactions policies and procedures meet the organizations short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations accounting principles standards and generally accepted best practices.


Strategic Planning - develop and implement the financial strategy for the group. This includes long-term financial planning and forecasting risk management investment strategies for both manufacturing and trading businesses.


Financial Reporting - oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. Obtain industry benchmarks to facilitate the Group period analysis. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the CEO Board of Directors and other key stakeholders.


Compliance - ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. This includes tax planning and compliance with local and international tax regulations. Ensure adherence to the Group policies and procedures as well as relevant laws of Ghana.


Leadership - lead the finance and accounting team for the group and collaborate with subsidiary FCs and Business Heads to ensure their ongoing professional development and training. Participate in key decisions as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.


Qualifications :

Education
Fellow Member of ACCA ICAG CIMA or equivalent e.g. CPA etc.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field MBA is an added advantage
Professional Project Management Certification is a plus.

Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of post-professional qualification experience in senior financial managerial roles with a proven track record of success.
Possess excellent skills in maintaining the general ledger and prepare financial statement with the use of an accounting software.
Possess excellent knowledge of data analysis risk management and forecasting methods.
Possess working knowledge of the Ghana Tax Law and application of the Company Law in Ghana.
Possess excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact
Possess strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
