Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Shift: Night Shift 12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Location - Syracuse NY
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide high-quality cardiopulmonary care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience the ability to work independently and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer oxygen therapy aerosol treatments and positive pressure ventilation
- Assist physicians with initiation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when required
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas sampling (radial arterial punctures)
- Monitor patient responses to respiratory therapies and adjust treatment as needed
- Provide care to pediatric and adult patients as applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy (required)
- Active state license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist (required)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care clinical experience
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
