Job Summary

Sales Ledger Administrator

Location:Longtown
Hours:Monday to Friday 8:30am 5:00pm
Pay rate:up to 30000 p/a
Contract:Permanent

Were working with a well-established family-run business based in Longtown who are looking to add a Sales Ledger Administrator to their finance team. This is a full-time permanent position offering a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers building relationships and keeping things organised in a busy environment.

The role is Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm providing a consistent and structured working pattern.

Key responsibilities

Raising and issuing sales invoices accurately and on time
Allocating incoming payments to customer accounts
Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
Chasing outstanding debt via phone and email in a professional manner
Resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
Producing aged debtor reports and supporting cash flow management
Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate billing
Supporting month-end processes and reporting

About you

Previous experience in a sales ledger or accounts receivable role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communicator comfortable speaking with customers
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
