About the Opportunity

Our client a growing distribution company is seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of core accounting operations while helping bring structure clarity and leadership to the function. This is a high-impact role where youll partner closely with leadership improve processes and play a key part in financial visibility and decision-making.

What Youll Do

• Oversee daily accounting operations and lead the month-end close process
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L balance sheet cash flow) and variance reports
• Manage AP AR billing payroll and bank reconciliations
• Handle moderate invoice volume and track field expenses
• Maintain and update a three month cash flow forecast to support planning
• Ensure accuracy in financial data coding and compliance with policies and regulations
• Establish and improve accounting processes systems and internal controls
• Monitor budgets financial performance liabilities and key risk areas
• Deliver financial dashboards and insights to leadership
• Support strategic decisions through financial analysis and recommendations
• Oversee tax filings (sales tax payroll taxes 1099s) and coordinate with external advisors
• Manage banking relationships including deposits transfers and loan tracking
• Assist with audits and lead special projects as needed

What You Bring

• 5 years of full cycle accounting experience
• Bachelors degree in Accounting required; Masters preferred
• Experience in distribution or similiar industry
• Strong background in managing and improving accounting processes
• Proven ability to lead delegate and build structure within a team
• Leadership experience is a plus
• Highly organized detail-oriented and proactive
• Experience with ERP accounting systems
