Job Summary

Ohel is looking for Respite Counselorswho are creative dedicated and responsible to work one-on-one with youth who have mental health challenges or who are medically fragile and live at home in the community. Respite focuses on short-term assistance provided to youth to enhance the familys ability to support the youths functional developmental behavioral health and/or health care needs.

Requirements:

Paraprofessionals with a high school diploma or GED and with appropriate skills and training.
Experience working with children/youth (preference given to those with experience working with children/youth with special needs)

Valid NY or NJ Drivers license preferred. Good English communication skills a must. Flexible part time after school hours. Locations include Brooklyn Queens Far Rockaway and Long Island.

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
