QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in area of responsibility.
- Must have SE edorsement.
- Bachelors Degree in area of major study.
- Minimum of three years successful teaching experience 2 years in Special Education.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
SALARY:
Per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement
JOB GOAL:
To devise and implement individualized programs for students who have special needs which prevent them from learning through traditional means.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with timelines laws and regulations that relate to district state federal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals.
- Collaborate with all service providers and other staff to develop instruction and support goals that are designed to meet the learning needs of students.
- Compile and submit monthly Medicaid reports.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
- Participate in building meetings as directed by the building principal.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
