Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some nights & weekends required.
Job Summary:The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs moderately complex and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls emails and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Drafts and sends communications on supervisor/departmental staff behalf. Reconciles P-Card/Concur for other staff/faculty against departmental budget. Performs some simple budget monitoring/entry. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers copiers fax machines etc.
Additional Department Summary:Supports the faculty and students in the Higher Education Administration Programs from admissions through degree completion. Maintains student and alumni databases mailing lists and online presence. Assists with marketing and recruitment for Higher Education programs. Performs additional duties in support of the Executive EdD Higher Education Administration program including planning monthly meetings including the catering booking classrooms arranging transportation and communication and coordination with faculty; and maintaining program financial records and budgets. Supports Program Coordinator and Department Head as directed.
Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative experience; OR associates degree or higher.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. drivers license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Meetings occur Thursday through Saturday; must be available on these days with an ability to work a flexible schedule.
