ABOUT THE TEAM
The Massed Effects (MFX) Team within the Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) Division at Anduril provides customers a high reliability trusted solution for generating military utility using robotic and autonomous systems (RAS). We think holistically about the user experience with RAS and address the pain points product gaps and delivery bottlenecks preventing widespread adoption. That is why we are developing a robotic combat system that operationalizes RAS and integrates them with existing infrastructure and current capability frameworks.
ABOUT THE JOB
Business Development (BD) leads within MFX are responsible for identifying shaping and capturing opportunities to grow revenue for the business line. BD leads serve as the bridge between prospects/clients and the broader team conveying warfighter needs to the Product and Engineering teams to ensure that Anduril products consistently meet or exceed user expectations and mission demands. The MFX Business Line is looking for a high initiative collaborative individual to join the team as the USN and USMC Growth Lead. This person will have ownership and responsibility for shaping and capturing RAS software opportunities.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Find pursue and close MFX-related business within US Navy and US Marine Corps acquisition arms. Success will be achieved by developing a deep understanding of the existing and prospective customer base knowing the current or planned programmatic and technical roadmaps and being cognizant of the competitive landscape. This expertise will inform capture strategies revenue forecasts and aid in technology development plans. Tactically you will manage continuous engagements with current and future clients generate growth strategies and monitor buying cycles for opportunities and lead specific proposal and capture efforts.
- Develop capture strategies. Provide cohesive business plans and execution models that outline acquisition plans create clear alignment to investment strategies and drive towards program of record execution. Success will be achieved by engaging key stakeholders to shape requirements identifying and securing relevant funding and developing compelling win themes and supplier strategies for competitive captures.
- Drive product development and program transition. Anduril thrives by developing new technologies for our clients pressing operational challenges. This demands delivering nascent concepts to clients shaping early design of experiment study and collaborative research and development that enable the road map toward major programs of record. Internally you are charged with translating client problem sets back into our engineering organization identifying key milestones and proactively providing clear communications to appropriate levels of the company. Your assessment of clients needs will inform new product decisions and your ongoing engagement with clients will yield crucial input that helps Anduril ensure our product suite is best-in-class.
- Grow existing business. While the primary role will be shaping and capturing new business a successful Growth Lead will represent the entire MFX business line. You will partner with execution teams and product engineers to grow business with current clients. This does not simply include expanding upon current work but also leveraging existing partnerships to explore new areas of work or opportunities by sustaining and building upon the strong foundation of those client relationships.
- Communicate our value to clients. BD team members and brand ambassadors that represent Anduril to a broad audience: clients partners competitors and the interested public. You must project the companys ethos conveying insights that illustrate our approach to building next-generation defense technology and our competitive edges in doing so.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate will be a proven development and growth leader with prior experience in commercial or DoD Capture and Sales demonstrating a track record of building executing and winning business capture strategies particularly with an emphasis on the US Navy and US Marine Corps customers.
- An aptitude and appetite to thrive within organizations with: nascent structure high-ownership culture and a whatever it takes environment.
- A knack for knocking out deliverables in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a level-head strong interpersonal skills and executive gravitas.
- Demonstrated knowledge in defense acquisitions with a history of zero-to-one defense program growth a plus.
- Experience in the technical programmatic and operational challenges of developing and deploying Uncrewed Air or Ground systems
- Demonstrated high-energy high-ownership individual who will drive performance and exhibit strong management skills with a high level of emotional intelligence. Must be able to work in a fast-paced highly entrepreneurial and creative environment and be able to build adapt and implement new and innovative approaches to market.
- Excellent writing communication skills with experience briefing senior executives and customers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant DoD / IC / Commercial programs platforms and payloads to include enabling technologies systems integration and software development.
- Bachelors degree
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Expertise autonomous systems through previous business development roles or operational experience
- Experience in the technical programmatic and operational challenges of autonomous systems and / or crewed aviation.
- 2-3 years consultant in the Aerospace and Defense Field.
- Experience with government business development government contract structures and government proposal processes.
- Prior military or contracting experience or experience in DoD or Government. Ability to travel 30-50% some International.
- Degree in mechanical engineering electrical engineering systems engineering physics robotics or computer electrical engineering physics or computer science.
- Currently has and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret Top Secret security clearance.
US Salary Range
$160000 - $220000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Andurils total compensation package.
