About theRole

This is a handson technical leadership role reporting to the IT Service Delivery Lead where youll design manage and optimise councils cloud hybrid and onprem infrastructure while partnering closely with internal teams and external vendors. As the Cloud and Infrastructure Lead you will:

• Lead the design delivery and ongoing management of Councils cloud hybrid and onpremises infrastructure ensuring availability performance security and compliance.
• Provide handson technical leadership across AWS Azure and Hyper-V environments and supporting Windows and Ubuntu servers including system administration monitoring disaster recovery and escalated support.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to uplift cybersecurity documentation architectural standards and a constructive valuesdriven IT culture.

About You

Youre a confident infrastructure professional who enjoys rolling up your sleeves while also providing technical leadership. Youre naturally curious and proactive communicate clearly with people from all backgrounds and can explain technical ideas in a way that just makes sense. You stay calm and organised when things move quickly enjoy solving problems and take pride in delivering great support to users with different levels of technical confidence.

Youll bring:

• A relevant degree with at least 5 years experience or equivalent practical experience across AWS cloud infrastructure Hyper-V with Windows and administering Active Directory SQL Azure Microsoft 365 networking and cloud/onprem virtualised environments (including HyperV).
• Experience implementing and enhancing cybersecurity controls supporting and administering complex multivendor environments with relevant certifications such as Microsoft AWS or ITIL.
• Experience with working in Local Government and working with ITSM frameworks and service desk ticket systems will be highly regarded

This is a Level 6 position which has a current salary of $112395 per annum (plus Super).
