Whats the role
Were open to candidates at either Senior Associate or Associate Director level to join Westpac Institutional Banks Customer Insights & Analytics team within the Energy Infrastructure & Resources Division focusing on corporate and institutional clients in the Natural Resources sector. You will support / manage a portfolio of clients end-to-end including originating new transactions and overseeing ongoing monitoring and portfolio management as the primary credit analyst. Building and enabling strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders will be key alongside ensuring all aspects of the credit process and due diligence are executed to a high standard.
The role involves preparing high-quality credit submissions with detailed risk analysis and financial forecasting and confidently presenting and negotiating outcomes through WIBs risk management decision process. You will also assess proposals against approved business and credit strategies target market criteria and underwriting standards to support sound credit decisions.
What do I need
- Experience within the natural resources sector gained either from time in role at a bank or as an embedded SME within industry preferred.
- Experience in credit analysis with an understanding of risk assessment and commercial financial analysis principles.
- Demonstrated experience in business development including identifying opportunities and building client pipelines (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality accurate credit assessments.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
