TranslationalMedicine(TMed)drivesearly clinical development of novel therapeuticsby partneringwith Discovery Sciences and Late-Stage Clinical Researchto translatescientific discoveriesinto human proof-of-conceptandadvancethe most promising candidates through the pipelineto patients. Wedesign and execute clinical pharmacology strategiesspanningfirst-in-humanstudiesthrough proof-of-biology/proof-of-conceptandintolate-stage developmentsupportingworldwide marketingapplicationsand lifecycle management.

In a competitive externallandscapeand fast-pacedinternalenvironment this positionprovidesbothstrategicandoperationalleadership acrossearlyimmunologyprogramsensuringtimely high-quality execution of clinical studies and clinical pharmacology strategies worldwide.The successful candidate willtelescope betweenstrategy and hands-onexecution acrossa portfolio of diverse modalities (e.g. peptides small molecules biologics) andpartner cross-functionally to develop the neededexpertiseto successfully advance programs to keyinflection pointsin development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ownand execute theearly developmentstrategyfor the immunology portfolio with the Head ofTMedImmunology

  • Provide comprehensive strategic planningandoperationaloversightfor immunology clinical programs and trials to ensureefficienttimelyexecutionagainst milestones

  • Ensureappropriateresourcescompetencies and partnershipsare in place to meetobjectives

  • Serve as thedeepsubject matter expertforearlyimmunology clinicaloperations

  • Criticallyreviewstrategy andclinical program documents (development plansinvestigators brochures protocolsetc.) providingscientific andoperational insight to ensure best path forward

  • Partner withBusiness Development and Licensingto evaluate internal and external opportunities that align with portfolio strategy

  • Activelyparticipatein annualandquarterly planning cycles:identifyrisks developand executemitigation plans andtrack performance metricsand outcomes

  • Ensureimmunology dataintegrityacrossorganization(Book of Business CTMS etc.)

  • Build and sustainstrong cross-functional relationships (country operations clinical supplies data management regulatory etc.)across departments divisions and geographies

  • Foster the people pipeline: Attractcoach mentorandretaintalent;provide performance management support;act as player-coach to enrich group skillsets. Potential for people management.

  • RepresentTMedonenterprisestrategic initiativesand lead continuous-improvement efforts that increase program efficiency and scientific impact

  • Serveas a member of theTMedU.S. Clinical Operations leadership teamandcontributeto shaping department strategy

Education Requirement

  • Degree in Life Scienceswith one of the following experience combinations:

  • Bachelorsdegree12 years related experience OR

  • Masters degree10 years related experience OR

  • Ph.D.or doctorate8 years related experience

  • Related ExperienceIncludes:pharmaceuticalindustry roles inclinical drug development clinical trial management clinical sitemonitoring/trainingmedical/regulatory writing or translational science

Required Experience and Skills

  • Proventrack recordbuildingand leadinghigh-performingcross-functional teamsin a matrixedenvironment

  • Deep knowledge of early clinical development (Phase 1 and early proof-of-concept)

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate network andinfluence peerssenior leaders and external partners

  • Strongoralandwritten communicationskills

  • Track recorddelivering results on firm deadlines

  • Strong decision-making skills weighing advantages disadvantages and business impact for rapid decisions

  • Ability to work successfully with ambiguity and embrace uncertainty

  • Experience attracting developing andretainingtalent

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience leading clinical programsand trialsfor gastroenterology dermatologyand/orrheumatology especially autoimmune or immune-mediated disorders including in both large and small pharma contexts

  • Familiarity with broaderpharmaceutical industryconsiderationsand trendsbeyond clinical development

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is

$190800.00 - $300300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills geographic location government requirements and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive if applicable.
