As a Senior Expert in IT for Data Mining and Visualization you will play a key role in designing and optimizing data management processes for vehicle and test bench measurement data within a cutting-edge cloud environment. You will work closely with engineering teams to develop automated data analysis routines interactive web applications and comprehensive reporting workflows that enable data-driven decisions in vehicle development. Your expertise will directly support BMWs innovation in digital product engineering contributing to the future of automotive technology in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment.

What should you bring along

• Proven experience in designing and optimizing data management and processing workflows especially within cloud environments (preferably AWS).
• Strong programming and software development skills with a focus on Python SQL and web technologies.
• Deep understanding of data analysis KPI extraction and visualization techniques for large-scale measurement data.
• Familiarity with automotive testing standards and measurement data formats (e.g. ETAS MDF4).
• Ability to develop and maintain relational databases and automated reporting systems.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms and deployment of web applications.
• Passion for working in interdisciplinary teams and driving automotive innovation through data intelligence.

Must have technical skill

• Programming languages: Python SQL JavaScript HTML CSS
• Frameworks and libraries: AngularJS ReactJS
• Version control: Git
• Operating systems: Linux
• Data & Analytics: Data processing pipelines KPI extraction ETL workflows
• Visualization & Reporting: Dashboard development tools like AWS QuickSight Tableau Azure Data Explorer
• Cloud Platforms: AWS cloud services cloud-based analytics environments
• Engineering domain knowledge: Automotive testing and measurement data (ETAS MDF Standard) ADAS sensor systems ECU validation

Good to have Technical skills

• Experience with automated reporting workflows (PDF PowerPoint generation)
• Advanced knowledge of web application development and deployment in cloud environments
• Additional data visualization tools and BI platforms
• Deeper expertise in vehicle drivetrain testing and sensor data analytics
