The Associate Performance Improvement (PI) role at Portage Point represents a unique opportunity to assume a wide range of responsibilities and make a significant impact. The Associate PI is a key contributor helping to conduct analysis and identify value creation opportunities. This Associate will support engagements that enhance efficiency accuracy and decision-making for clients facing complex financial transactional and operational challenges. This person will support key initiatives execute discrete workstreams and collaborate closely with senior leaders. Responsibilities
Support commercial and operational due diligence including deep-dive analysis of commercial opportunities cost structures working capital and operational KPIs
Perform detailed data analysis and root-cause diagnostics across functions such as procurement supply chain manufacturing and SG&A
Build and maintain robust financial and operational models including cash flow liquidity and cost-saving tracking tools
Assist in developing 100-day plans and value creation roadmaps with clearly defined initiatives and impact estimates
Track and report value capture initiatives including savings realization and EBITDA impact
Prepare high-quality client-ready materials for global stakeholders under tight timelines
Partner with senior executives private equity firms lenders lawyers and other related buyers
Collaborate with U.S.-based teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution across time zones
Contribute to a high-performing inclusive and values-driven culture
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; MBA or CA preferred
Experience working with U.S.-based private equity or corporate clients
Willing to relocate to or be primarily present in Gurgaon
Two to four years of experience in consulting transaction advisory or corporate strategy / operations (MBB A&M AlixPartners Big 4 or equivalent preferred)
Strong exposure to operational improvement cost reduction or restructuring environments
Advanced Excel skills; experience with large datasets and financial modeling required
Superior written and verbal communication skills including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
Proven ability to thrive in lean fast-moving teams
High attention to detail responsiveness and ownership mindset
Track record of success in high-pressure client-facing environments
