Receiving Lead ITAD Operations Overview

The Receiving Lead plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Receiving Department within an IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) environment. This position partners closely with the Receiving Supervisor to coordinate workflow ensure accurate intake and tracking of inbound IT assets and uphold strict quality compliance and data security standards.

This role provides hands-on coaching training and direction to the Receiving Team while driving productivity accountability and adherence to operational and regulatory requirements.

This is a Temp to Perm role with a 90-day conversion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Receiving Supervisor in overseeing daily receiving operations including unloading sorting inspection and intake of inbound IT assets such as laptops desktops servers and mobile devices
• Lead by example on the floor by performing hands-on receiving tasks while training and mentoring team members on proper handling and processing procedures
• Ensure all inbound assets are accurately counted tagged serialized and recorded in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or asset tracking system
• Verify asset conditions and specifications; identify and escalate discrepancies damages or variances in shipment documentation
• Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols to ensure data security and compliance with ITAD industry standards
• Assist in prioritizing workload to meet daily throughput targets and client SLAs
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Receiving Associates providing real-time guidance troubleshooting and support
• Promote and enforce adherence to company policies safety standards and data security procedures
• Maintain a clean organized and secure receiving area aligned with operational efficiency and audit readiness
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Inventory Production Quality Control and Logistics teams to ensure seamless asset flow throughout the facility

Qualifications & Requirements

• 35 years of experience in a warehouse logistics or receiving environment preferably within ITAD electronics recycling or technology refurbishment
• Prior experience in a lead team lead or senior associate role required
• Familiarity with IT hardware (laptops desktops servers networking equipment and mobile devices) strongly preferred
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or asset tracking platforms; strong computer proficiency required
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage serialized inventory and documentation accuracy
• Understanding of data security protocols and chain-of-custody best practices is a plus
• Strong communication coaching and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume production environment
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts/ pallet jacks)
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
