Job Summary
Position Concept
The RTCC Analyst performs operations and clerical duties and tasks specific to the position. The member utilizes information gathered by officers to establish crime patterns and methods to identify suspects.
The most important and essential job function of the position is attitude which includes the following: interacting positively and cooperating with co-workers responding politely to customers working as a team member functioning under intense time pressure and responding in a positive manner to supervision.
The RTCC Analyst may perform other related duties and tasks as required and shall have the physical mental and emotional abilities to perform the essential job duties of the position.

Essential Functions
Monitor active calls for service
Provide real time crime and intelligence information
Relay potential hazards to law enforcement officers
Maintain statistics and log daily production
Assist patrol and investigative units with calls for service
Analyze criminal date and activity
Assist the Safe Schools Division Data Analyst monitor threats to schools
Monitor and distribute daily reports
Make immediate notification regarding active assailants or any threats involving a school
Attend trainings and briefings
Utilize a variety of databases and social media platforms for investigative purposes
Monitor criminal offenders
Research and analyze date
Create biological reports timelines and intelligence bulletins
Communicate via portable radio with law enforcement officers and the Emergency Communications Center (ECC)
Correspond with agency members
Monitor crime tips
Correspond with other agencies
Complete requests for information
Answer telephone
Education Professional Certification or License
High School or GED four-year college degree preferred and/or professional experience in data analysis
Valid Florida drivers license
*FCIC/NCIC Certification
Successfully complete RTCC Analyst Training Program
Professional Experience
Demonstrated proficiency of keyboarding 35 wpm with no more than 5 errors
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows Excel and Word Windows and use of the Internet
Environmental Conditions
Works in a fast-paced office environment with variable levels of stress
Works on a rotating 12 hour shift
Exposure to life threatening situations and events while assisting with calls for service
Works with a great deal of autonomy requiring discretion and decision-making
