Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and engaging Math Tutor to support middle school and high school students in Mandeville. The ideal candidate is passionate about education skilled at explaining complex concepts in a clear and relatable way and committed to helping students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one tutoring in middle and high school math subjects (including pre-algebra algebra geometry and advanced topics as needed)
• Develop customized lesson plans based on each students learning style and academic needs
• Help students improve problem-solving skills study habits and test preparation strategies
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Prep Academy Tutors team
• Foster a positive motivating and supportive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of middle and high school math curriculum
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students homes in the Mandeville area
• And one of the following:
• You hold a current valid registration with the New Orleans Department of Education.
• Youre a qualified teacher in the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
• Youre a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
• You have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.
