Job Title: Personal Care Assistant School Setting

Duration: 7 Weeks (Contract)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities or medical needs in a school environment. This role focuses on helping students participate fully in daily school activities by assisting with personal care mobility and basic health-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care such as toileting feeding dressing and hygiene
• Support mobility and positioning using adaptive equipment (wheelchairs lifts braces)
• Perform basic health-related tasks under nurse supervision (e.g. feeding support monitoring conditions)
• Accompany students during classes transitions and school activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and student progress
• Collaborate with teachers therapists and healthcare staff to follow care and education plans
• Ensure a clean and safe environment by following hygiene and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (CNA/PCA/HHA certification preferred)
• At least 1 year of relevant experience (school or pediatric setting preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist with lifting transfers and extended standing
• Must pass background checks and required clearances
• Basic computer skills for documentation
