DEFINITION: Under supervision performs a wide variety of clerical tasks in an elementary school setting performs related work as required.
To qualify for this position applicants must receive a passing score on our CST 424 online exam. If you have passed the assessment within the last two years upload a copy of your test results with your application. If the HR Department determines the CST 424 exam is required you will receive an email invitation containing an online testing link at the email address provided on your application. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Prepares and maintains a variety of forms letters newsletter bulletins and files
Order supplies and instructional materials by using IFAS
Maintains schools master calendar
Assists in financial and student recordkeeping
Compiles and records daily attendance; contacts parents regarding student attendance
Assist with enrolling and withdrawing students and student records
Communication with parents and the public to provide information
May assist with preparing SARB referrals
Monitoring of budgets
May assist in taking minutes at meetings
Operates a variety of office equipment including computers and related software
Assists in the maintenance of equipment and inventories
May assist in administering first aid to students
May assist in general supervision of students
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Training and Experience: A combination of training and experience equivalent to one year experience in general office work some experience working with young people.
Knowledge of:
Office procedures
Basic arithmetic grammar spelling and composition
First aid
School routines policies and regulations
Skill in:
The operation of office equipment
Following written and verbal instructions
Typing and filing
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Performing general clerical tasks in an accurate and timely manner
Ability to:
Learn to operate a computer and related software
To maintain effective relationships with students staff and parents
Triage issues
Working Conditions:
Office Environment driving a vehicle to conduct work. With or without accommodations the ability to see and hear to conduct work and speaking to exchange information. Sitting for extended periods of time; reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally or bending at waist to retrieve and store files. Reading writing and operating computer keyboard.
