An established engineering consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled and professionally registered Project Manager to plan lead and deliver infrastructure and built environment projects.
This role requires a strong consulting professional with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams ensure compliance with government frameworks and deliver projects within time cost and quality parameters.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
Bachelors degree in a Built Environment discipline (Engineering Architecture Quantity Surveying or similar)
Professional Registration with SACPCMP as PrPM or PrCPM
Certificate in Development & Planning for Labour Intensive Construction Projects (NQF 7)
Experience
510 years project management experience within an engineering consulting and/or construction environment (post-registration)
Proven experience managing full project lifecycle delivery
Strong exposure to Local Government public sector or parastatal projects (preferred)
Experience in planning risk management budgeting and cost control
Advantageous
Degree in Project Management or PMP certification
Competency in MS Projects or similar planning software
Occupational Health & Safety certification
Additional certifications in MS Office MS Excel and project management tools
Strong knowledge of Local & National Government processes and project implementation frameworks
Experience with infrastructure funding applications (MIG RBIG NDPG etc.)
Strong leadership organisational and stakeholder management skills
Excellent analytical problem-solving and negotiation ability
Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety compliance
Understanding of environmental compliance processes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define project scope objectives timelines and deliverables in collaboration with internal stakeholders and EPMO
Develop detailed project plans programmes and cost estimates
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
Monitor project progress and report on milestones costs risks and deliverables
Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle
Manage stakeholder communication including clients and government entities
Ensure effective budget management forecasting and cost control
Conduct post-project evaluations and drive continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and regulatory standards
