An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly organised HR (Site/Project) Foreman to join a major industrial expansion and installation project within a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment based in Mpumalanga.

  • The successful candidate will play a key operational HR role in supporting large-scale project recruitment workforce coordination onboarding inductions contractor administration labour compliance disciplinary processes and employee management across the project lifecycle.
  • This role requires a hands-on and operationally strong HR professional capable of functioning within a dynamic industrial site environment involving technical staff contractors artisans installation teams and project personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the full HR function relating to project and site-based employees.
  • Manage recruitment coordination candidate onboarding site entry administration and employee processing.
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies labour providers contractors and technical suppliers.
  • Coordinate PPE issuing control sizing and records management.
  • Facilitate employee inductions safety onboarding and project orientation.
  • Ensure all site employees meet legal medical safety and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with employee contracts fixed-term employment agreements and employment documentation.
  • Manage attendance registers employee tracking timesheets and workforce reporting.
  • Coordinate employee accommodation transport logistics and workforce movements where applicable.
  • Ensure all employee documentation is correctly loaded onto internal company systems.
  • Support IR-related matters including warnings disciplinaries grievances and absenteeism management.
  • Assist management with workforce planning and manpower forecasting.
  • Coordinate project HR administration relating to subcontractors and external labour providers.
  • Liaise closely with Safety Officers Project Managers Site Management and Operations teams.
  • Ensure labour law compliance and company policy adherence.
  • Maintain accurate employee records filing systems and HR reporting structures.
  • Support payroll administration and HR data verification processes.
  • Assist with project demobilisation and offboarding procedures where required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Industrial Psychology Labour Relations or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years HR experience within industrial engineering manufacturing construction shutdown project or plant environments.
  • Previous exposure to project workforce coordination highly advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of South African labour legislation and HR compliance.
  • Experience handling fixed-term contracts and project-based labour administration.
  • Strong disciplinary and employee relations experience.
  • Computer literate (MS Office Excel HR Systems Payroll Platforms).
  • Strong administrative organisational and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid drivers licence advantageous.
  • Stable employment history with contactable references.
  • Local residency or willingness to relocate required.
