Currently we are seeking a L1 Technician for one of our clients that is a leading multination corporation.

Position: L1 Technician

Location: Reno Nevada

Duration: 6 Months

Experience: 1-2 years

Job Description: We are looking for an L1 Technician to support datacenter server and network infrastructure deployment installation and basic operations. This role focuses on physical hardware handling cabling and initial setup of servers and switches.

Key Responsibilities

• Move servers and switches to the required destination for installation
• Inspect servers and switches to ensure they are not damaged in any way
• Perform smoke tests on servers to ensure they are functioning as intended
• Install servers and switches and cable them according to the provided wire map
• Ensure all cables are bundled neatly and in accordance with industry standards
• Double-check with network administrators to ensure everything is cabled correctly and all connections are up
• Install additional components as needed (NIC Drive Memory)
• Assist in unboxing and prepping servers as required
• Perform auditing of servers and consumables
