About the job:

HVAC Technician performs installation operation preventive maintenance servicing andrepair onrefrigeration equipment heat pumps pneumatics environmental control systemsboilersand related equipment. Responsible formaintainingHVAC systems at on and off-site locations within federal state and local guidelines andinformsupervisors of non-compliance.

Whatyoulldo:

  • Inspects anddeterminesthe repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns and major overhauls on heating ventilating airconditioningand refrigeration systems at on and off-site locations.

  • Installsmaintains repairs troubleshoots and overhauls heating ventilating airconditioningand refrigeration equipment and replaces parts as necessary checks and tests for proper operation sets and adjusts the equipment and returns the system to operation after repair at on and off-site locations.

  • Reads blueprints installs equipmentin accordance withblueprints and specifications up-dates and corrects blueprints to reflect as-built conditions.

  • Performs preventive maintenance on heating ventilating airconditioningand refrigeration systems at on and off-site locations.

  • Operates and adjusts HVAC systems to heat and cool air to specified temperatures andhumidity.

  • Inspects installsadjustsandmaintainshospital equipment systems to include but not limited to chillers cooling towers and air handlers.

  • Perform tests and chemically treats the boiler water in closed loop systems and cooling tower water at on and off-site locations

  • Performs snow removal duties including the maintenance and operation of 4-wheel drivevehicles plows salt spreaders tractors blowers and applies salt andde-icers.

Whatwerelooking for:

  • Minimum Education Requirement:High school graduate or equivalent vocational training preferred.Graduate of an approved technical or trade school preferred.Major concentration: coursesin heating ventilating airconditioningand refrigeration theory.

  • Certification:Universal Refrigeration Certification.

  • Three (3) yearsofexperience in the installation and repair of heating ventilating airconditioningand refrigeration equipment.

  • Knowledge of chemical water treatmenttestand analysis.

  • Knowledge of electrical controls andelectrictheory relating to HVAC systems.

  • Knowledge of temperaturecontrolssystems.

  • Knowledge of indoor air quality standards.

  • Experienced in blueprint reading and knowledge of state and local codes.

  • Responsible for assuring heating ventilating air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment aremaintainedat on and off-site locations.

  • Assistsin the training of new associates.

  • Must have a valid Ohiodriverslicense
