POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The position of Technology Support Specialist II is for the purpose of providing tier 2 technology support to the Bellevue School District.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
Responsible for tier 2 technology support via email phone other electronic medium and in person
Provides direct and indirect customer support for technology hardware and software through a tiered support model; to include staff students and parents
Ensure proper recording documentation and ticket closure in ticket tracking system
Responsible for creation and updating of technology related guides
Assist with onboarding of new hires and laptop support
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to and is supervised by Technology Support Manager
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
Required:
Five years of experience in use of computers peripheral devices Microsoft software and related/similar operating systems
Associates degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred:
A Certificate
Allowable Substitutions:
Additional related experience may substitute for the educational requirements

KNOWLEDGE (position requirements at entry):
Knowledge of computer systems hardware and peripherals
Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
Knowledge of cloud technologies
Knowledge of technology monitoring and support solutions
Knowledge of mobile device operating systems
Knowledge of general trouble-shooting techniques for software hardware and network systems
SKILLS (position requirements at entry):
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills commensurate with the position
Ability to convey technical issues and materials to non-technical audience
Ability to work independently with minimal direction or supervision.
Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
Shows a strong willingness to be customer service oriented
Demonstrates multicultural sensitivity with the ability to effectively and collaboratively work with diverse populations
Ability to perform all duties in accordance with all applicable Board policies and district and legal requirements
Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting finger dexterity grasping talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry and push pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
CTSA Professional Technical salary classification 3 $ 81834 to $86141annual salary (starting at $ 81834 annual) 40 hours per week for a 260-day annual assignment.
Medical dental vision long-term disability and life-insurance eligibility is based upon 630 hours worked within a school year. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. Other benefits include vacation and paid holidays.
