Salary: $60000 $85000 yearly
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a Business & Corporate Law practice at a well-established law firm in Cleveland. This role is best suited for a professional with strong transactional experience who can provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys handling corporate and commercial matters.
Key Responsibilities- Draft edit and proofread a variety of legal documents including contracts correspondence and closing materials
- Manage electronic signature processes using platforms such as DocuSign including tracking and execution of documents
- Prepare maintain and update corporate records entity documents and organizational charts
- Coordinate and support corporate transactions including mergers acquisitions and entity formations
- Assemble and organize closing binders transaction files and due diligence documents
- Communicate effectively with attorneys clients and external parties to facilitate smooth transactions
- Maintain calendars schedule meetings and manage time entry for attorneys
- Ensure accuracy completeness and timely delivery of all legal documentation
- 3 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
- Must include hands-on experience in Business or Corporate Law
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary within Business or Corporate Law
- Hands-on experience supporting corporate transactions including closings and document preparation
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
- Experience working with DocuSign or similar e-signature platforms
- Solid understanding of corporate structures records and compliance documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Prior experience in a law firm environment handling corporate or commercial transactions
- Familiarity with mergers & acquisitions (M&A) processes
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a legal team
