Position Title: Electrophysiology Technician (EP Tech) Interventional Cardiology Location: New York NY Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: Day Shift 5x8 Hours (07:00 AM 03:00 PM)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a highly skilled and certified Electrophysiology Technician (EP Tech) to support advanced cardiac procedures within an Interventional Cardiology setting. This role involves assisting physicians during complex electrophysiology studies and interventions while ensuring patient safety procedural accuracy and optimal clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare operate and maintain electrophysiology (EP) lab equipment during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
Assist physicians and the cardiovascular team during electrophysiology studies including ablations and device implantations
Monitor patient hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms providing real-time data and feedback during procedures
Accurately document patient information procedural details and equipment usage
Ensure proper setup calibration sterilization and maintenance of all EP lab equipment
Adhere to established safety protocols infection control standards and patient care guidelines
Participate in orientation training and ongoing competency assessments related to EP lab operations
Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to efficient workflow within the department
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited program in Cardiac Electrophysiology Cardiovascular Technology or related field (required)
Current RCESIBHRE or RCIS certification (required)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Strong understanding of cardiac electrophysiology hemodynamics and cardiovascular anatomy
Proven experience operating EP lab systems and equipment in a clinical setting
