The Opportunity

Our US Gas Operations - American Gulf RegionAcadiana area team is evolving to meet the needs of our growingbusinessand we are expanding our presence inthe PattersonLouisianaareato support the operation and maintenance of our natural gas pipelines and associated facilities throughout Jena and the surrounding area.

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician whopossessesknowledge and experience of high-pressure natural gaspipelinesincludingturbineenginesand reciprocatingcompressors. This individual must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision whopossessesstrong analyticaltroubleshootingand decision-making skills.

WhatYoullDo

• Troubleshootoperateand maintain gas-fired turbine enginesreciprocatinggas compressors standby generator engines centrifugal and diaphragm pumpsoil coolers air compressors large-bank cooler fans and gear boxes large diameter valves and operators and other auxiliary equipment
• Operate compressor engines and support equipment
• Operate andmaintainvalves and operators
• Inspectrepairand set regulators and relief valves
• Blow down purge and pressurize pipelines and/or stations
• Plancoordinateand perform mechanical maintenance activities to include routine corrective maintenance preventive maintenance equipment and system improvements and major maintenance projects
• Complete work orders enter data into job plans create new work orders SAP
• Other tasks asrequired

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understand and describe the operation of an internal combustion engine
• 2yearsmechanical experience with internal combustion engines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience inmaintainingand troubleshootingturbineand reciprocatingengines
• Relevant oil and gas industry experience
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines centrifugal gas compressors and standby generators
• Experience with gas turbine engines
• Industrial experience in a plant environment
• Familiarity withElectrical Instrumentation and Controls

This position requires candidates to

• Have andmaintaina valid drivers license and safe driving record
• Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testing
• Be subject to call out 24 hours a day 7 days a week and extended workdays and/or workweeks for emergency response purposes
• Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments meetings or training which would involve some overnight stays away from home
• Be subject to working conditions which include adverse weather and temperatures heavy lifting (50 pounds) and cramped conditions
